Kevin Groom, General Manager at Martins World Travel, lists Africa as one of his favourite destinations. He is a “Safari Addict” and one of his “must see” animals on his safari wish-list is the African Hunting Dog.

“ The rare African Hunting Dog Africa’s most efficient hunter. With a hunt success rate of around 80% compared to a lion at 30% due entirely to great teamwork and an almost military style co-ordination. Once there were 500,000 hunting dogs but that number is now down to only around 5,000.

I have enjoyed numerous safaris and have viewed all the “Big Five” but it was on a trip to Chobe National Park in Botswana that I eventually got to see at close quarters this most amazing creature.”
